About Group Fitness Classes
This method of fitness training involves a group of people coming together as a class and carrying out a number of exercises, led by the fitness instructor.
The content of the class is aimed at maintaining and developing the attendees’ functional fitness. Functional fitness exercises train your muscles to work together and prepare them for daily, real life, tasks by simulating common movements you might do at home, at work or in sports.
How it works
Classes take place on a weekly basis, usually lasting about an hour and follow a similar structure each time

- Gentle stretches
- Cardio (aerobics) exercise
- Resistance (strength developing) exercise
- Balance
- Stretches
